halloween 09

We had a Woody the Cowboy and sweet little cupcake this year.  A church in my parents neighborhood was hosting a Fall Festival, so we trick or treated at Nana and Big Daddy’s house then walked to the festival.  It was cute and the games were creative, but a little overwhelming.  The kids enjoyed themselves.  On our walk back to Nana’s house we did some actual trick or treating at houses.  Lucy was all over it, but Eli did one or two and then opted to just sit in the stroller.  He didn’t care that he wouldn’t get candy.  He was beyond tired.  On the other hand, Lucy was going strong so Nathan took Eli in the house and Lu and I hit up 3 or 4 more houses.  And then here is my favorite part, we put the kids to bed at Nana and Big Daddy’s house and LEFT!  We ate dinner at like 8:30!  We woke up to an actual alarm, not our sweet children.  Don’t get me wrong, I love our kiddos, but man it is nice to have a night off every here and there.  So a big THANK YOU to the grandparents.  We got to enjoy the festivities with the kiddos and then unwind in a quiet house.  I feel so rested   Happy Fall Ya’ll!
